A whole production cycle completed without lice treatment
The analyses demonstrated that the fish fed with BioFeed Forte had significantly bigger slime cells and a denser slime coat (number of slime cells), better wound-healing, lower stress levels and fewer lice infestations. After some time, the control fish reached The Norwegian Food Safety Authority’s limit for lice infestation, and the comparison trial had to be terminated.
The fish fed with BioFeed Forte continued to grow to harvest maturity size without any additional lice treatment.
